Legoland Visit Builds Long Lasting Friendships

Our brilliant TACT South West team took 60 of our fostering families to Legoland Windsor – but it wasn’t just the rides and attractions that everyone enjoyed.

During the May half-term holiday, the South-West team enjoyed a fantastic day out at Legoland Windsor Resort with more than 60 foster families! Families travelled together by coach from Bristol, while others met us at the park, ready for a fun-filled day of adventure. Once inside, everyone set off to explore the attractions, and throughout the day we enjoyed catching up with families as we wandered around the park.

We came back together at lunchtime to share stories about the rides and attractions everyone had experienced. One of the highlights of the day was seeing families able to bring along members of their wider support networks, creating an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the day together. It was also wonderful to see young people who had met at previous events spending time together and strengthening their friendships.

We had overwhelmingly positive feedback from both foster carers and young people who said how fantastic the day had been, and especially how valuable it was to include those wider support networks. The opportunity the day provided for people to connect with others and build long-lasting friendships was invaluable.

A big thank you to our South West team for organising this wonderful trip! It truly shows the value of our wellbeing days; providing opportunities for our fostering households to come together, and for friendships to be nurtured and strengthened.
