Careers With TACT

Join Us in Making a Difference

Our mission is to Create Better Lives for Children, Young People and Care Experienced Adults. Will you join us on this important journey? Our people are important to us. It’s because of you that we’re able to give some of the most vulnerable children and young people a better tomorrow. We work hard to ensure that you’ll feel happy and supported in your role.

We are passionate about what we do, we strongly believe in equal opportunities and are committed to developing people’s potential. We want everyone who works for TACT to feel that they belong and feel happy in their work because we believe that’s the key to providing good customer service inside and outside the organisation.

TACT is a homebased workforce

We recognise the benefits that flexible home working creates for both the employer and the employee but we also encourage staff to meet face to face for regular supervision and the social and wellbeing benefits of team working. Where roles involve meeting with carers and children and other agencies, the expectation is that employees will live within a reasonable travelling distance to carry out those duties.

As a remote working organisation we are committed to work with our staff to enable consistent inclusion and engagement across the organisation to ensure the optimum standards of service for our carers and children.

There are endless ways you can be part of something meaningful.

From social work to project management, we can offer you a challenging and rewarding career that really makes a difference to the most vulnerable children and young people.

“I instantly enjoyed the atmosphere within the teams I was involved with, making me feel welcome and admired the values of the organisation. This then enabled me to discover the world of Fostering and Social Care for children and families. This was completely new to me coming from a Financial/Retail background, but I knew that I wanted to stay and explore it further. I have had great opportunities over the last 7 years which has included being part of the Family Finding team helping secure those all-important matches for our carers and being able to support our fostering families more directly through our Engagement and Activity Practitioner role. It’s these roles that helped revitalise my original ambition to become a Social Worker.”

We are the UK’s Largest Dedicated Fostering Charity.
