Easter Holiday Fun In The North West!

Our TACT Fostering North West team treated our young people to a fun-filled Easter week, where they got to meet animals and climb like ninjas – all topped off with a visit to the cinema!

To start with, we took 47 of our young people, birth children and carers to visit Farmer Teds. It was a lovely day in the sun, where all were able to meet the animals, play on the playground and even meet the Easter Bunny (not many people get to actually meet the bunny!). One of our young people commented that it was the ‘best day ever’, which was wonderful to hear. Our foster carers also had a great time, with one saying “I had such a good day – thanks so much – probably one of the best days out, there’s so much to do and lots of variety!”. Another carer said, “Thank you for sorting Farmer Teds and for being there, the boys had a great time”.

Ninjas were next on the list, and five of our young people got to fully immerse themselves in an interactive visit to Ninja Warrior UK. This was particularly special because it had been specifically requested by one of our young people. All five got fully involved in the activities and had a wonderful time!

It wasn’t all high octane though; the week was finished off with a more sedate visit to the cinema. Six young people joined us for this, which was a great opportunity for them to maintain already established friendships. They all said they would like more cinema trips in the future.

A big thank you to our North West staff, and our wonderful foster carers, for organising and facilitating such a lovely fun-packed week!
