Young People Bowled Over by Half Term Events!
To celebrate half term, our London & The South team arranged two days out for our children and young people to enjoy – which also gave a chance for carers to catch up with each other!
In South London, children and carers attended Disco Bowl at Lewisham Lanes where they had three lanes all to themselves to try their hand at bowling. They also spent time in the arcade and sat down with each other to eat which was a great opportunity for carers and young people to bond and connect.
In East London, carers, children and young people had a fun day at Flip Out – followed by a delicious meal at TGI Fridays. There was some really lovely feedback and everyone said they thoroughly enjoyed the day out.
There was fun to be had at Inflata Nation, from diving into the ball pit and racing down the slides to playing tag and making new friends – there was laughter everywhere. It was a fantastic day full of energy, excitement, and big smiles all round!

A trip to the Krispy Kreme doughnut factory gave everyone the opportunity to see how doughnuts are made from start to finish – and they smelled so nice and delicious. Watching them being glazed was definitely a highlight! At the end, we even enjoyed some free samples and took some treats home.
One of our young people enjoyed a special birthday – and they tucked into an American-style breakfast for the very first time! They absolutely loved it! It was a wonderful way to celebrate their special day and try something new.
Overall, everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to our amazing London & The South team for organising a diverse programme of events that were enjoyed by everyone!
