Our Fostering Households Embracing Christmas!
Some of our regional fostering households have been putting on their Christmas hats early!
They were also happy for us to share some photos from their Christmas wellbeing events. First up, 16 of our Yorkshire and North East foster carers went for a lovely Christmas lunch at the The Old Mill in Brighouse on the 4th December. This provided our carers a wonderful opportunity to unwind and catch up with each other.
If you thought the children were being left out, guess again! We took 59 of our Yorkshire and North East young people to The Clifton Park Christmas Adventure in Rotherham on 14th December.
The adventure was 90 minutes of firstly collecting a ‘Christmas Spirit Recipe’ which included filling a jar of laughter, decorating a ginger biscuit Christmas tree – and listening to a story before seeing Santa in his workshop with his very funny dancing pants machine! The experience was very interactive, so everyone enjoyed it! After that it was rides, mini golf, food and Christmas games in the entertainment tent.
We received some fantastic feedback from our young people!
Our West Midlands foster carers went for a lovely Christmas meal on 12th December. We think the smiling faces say it all!
Finally, our North West carers went for a Christmas meal too…
We love to see photos taken on our foster carer wellbeing days, so a big thank you to everyone who shared them with us. It just remains for us to say ‘Merry Christmas’ to all our foster carer teams, our young people and our staff. We hope you have a wonderful and positive New Year!
