TACT ‘Kicks Off’ with Dundee United Banner

TACT Scotland have taken an exciting first step towards building a connection with Dundee United.

No, we’re not talking about the TACT team pulling on the club’s iconic orange strip and stepping onto the pitch – although we suspect a few of our staff might secretly fancy themselves as the club’s star strikers!

Instead, we’re proud to announce the installation of a brand new pitch-side banner carrying the simple yet powerful message, ‘could you be a foster carer?’ The banner is part of a wider effort to encourage more diverse members of the public to consider fostering, along with dispelling myths that foster carers need to be superhuman or possess exceptional skills or qualifications in order to make a difference.

However, the hope is to get more involved in the Dundee United Community Trust, a charity set up to help improve the lives of people in Dundee and the surrounding areas. The trust was set up in 2017, and has so far managed to invest over £1.3 million into the local community.

As a charity focused on providing safe, nurturing foster homes and supporting care-experienced children, young people, and adults, we are always seeking ways to engage with like-minded organisations.
