Spinathon and Disco Fundraiser is a Huge Success
TACT’s Spinathon and Disco Fundraising event, held in Bromley on Friday 19th July, was a huge success and has raised over £3000.
A total of 60 attendees attended Nuffield Health and Wellbeing Gym in Bromley across 3 consecutive fundraising Spin Classes. Participants signed up in advance and paid £10 per class, with all the funds raised going towards fun activities for the young people TACT care for in the South London region.
The spin classes were followed up with an event at The Ravens Bar at Bromley Football Club, where the evening also included a raffle, auction and a disco. All who attended the evening had a superb time, where lucky recipients won some superb prizes, and a tremendous amount of fundraising resulted from raffle ticket sales alone. A big thank you to the local business who showed great generosity by donating some fantastic raffle prizes.
The two fantastic DJs from “All Souled Out” provided a stonking disco, and several of the 90+ guests strutted their stuff the whole night long, with many not wanting to leave at what was the end of a fantastic afternoon and evening!
Members of TACT staff attended the evenings events, including London & the South area manager Christine McGillvary who gave a fabulous presentation.
With the spin classes, disco, raffle, auction & Just Giving donations, the total raised to over £3300!
We would like to give special thanks to Nuffield Health Bromley and Bromley FC for their hospitality for the events, as well as everyone who contributed to putting the event together.
A final big thank you goes to Gillian Clements, a valued member of TACT since 2019, who organised and ran this event, and was able to fulfil a personal wish of raising funds for our children in care.
