Voluntary Income
Supporting excellent outcomes for the children and young people we care for.
As a children’s charity, everything TACT does is for the benefit of children and young people. Our core business is providing secure and loving foster families for children in care, however we are also proactive in generating voluntary fundraising income to support excellent outcomes for the children and young people we care for. This income is spent on a variety of activities and services which enrich our children lives and raise their aspirations. As a charity we rely on voluntary income to provide these activities.
Our voluntary income is used exclusively to fund project and activities for children and young people, in the last year this has included:
- A number of regional activity days throughout the UK
- Our annual Big Weekend for young people
- Regular art sessions in North and Mid Wales
- Additional group sessions and therapeutic support for foster carers, caring for children with complex behaviours
- Individual therapeutic support for children and young people who require additional support
Skills for Life workshops to support young people in their journey to independence - Additional educational support for young people to assist in exam preparation
