Area Manager for Yorkshire and North East
In January 2013 I started working for TACT Fostering Yorkshire as a Senior Supervising Social Worker, before becoming the Deputy Area Manager, and more recently the Area Manager for Yorkshire & North East. I manage an experienced and professional team of staff across both areas, who work hard to ensure our carers are well supported. At the centre of my role is ensuring high levels of care to the young people we support and helping them to reach their potential and aspirations.

I began my career at TACT in August 2014. I initially worked as a Children’s Resource Worker and in October 2014 my role changed to Supervising Social Worker. In November 2023 I was appointed to the role of Deputy Area Manager. I supervise and manage staff in the Yorkshire area, although my role would see me working between both Yorkshire and the North East. Positive outcomes and stability for the young people we care for is at the heart of my role.

I started working at TACT as a Supervising Social Worker in 2019 for the North East team, before becoming Deputy Area Manager in 2021 for Yorkshire & North East, after our services merged. I supervise and manage staff in the North East area, although my role would see me working between both Yorkshire and the North East. I thoroughly enjoy working for TACT, I love the values and aims of the organisation, and I am proud to work for a charity which offers so much support for children and foster carers. It’s a real privilege to work with foster carers and colleagues who are so passionate about their roles and about improving the lives of children in care.

I joined TACT Yorkshire in February 2010 as the Senior Admin Officer and became the Admin Manager in July 2012. I became the Admin Manager for the merged Yorkshire & Northeast region in August 2019.
I offer comprehensive and robust support to the Yorkshire & North East team, as well as all foster carer households, to ensure everyone has what they need to fulfil their role and responsibilities and secure the best possible outcomes for children.
