Scotland Team Earns ‘Very Good’ Rating in Latest Inspection

October 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that our Scotland team has achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating in their recent inspection!

The feedback highlighted that our children and young people are thriving thanks to the high-quality care they receive. Inspectors praised the meaningful relationships that caregivers build and the nurturing, trauma-informed care provided by our skilled and knowledgeable staff.

The specialist education programme has also been key in achieving excellent educational outcomes and fostering a culture of ambition.

Additionally, thorough assessments of caregivers and strong support when children join their fostering families contribute to these positive results. Furthermore, young people’s rights to continuing care are consistently upheld by our confident and dedicated staff and caregivers, demonstrating a strong commitment to their wellbeing.

The inspector also highlighted that children’s voices were being valued through participation and inclusion activities, with one of our young people saying:

I am included fully as part of our family and live a normal family life, getting to make age-appropriate decisions within our family.”

Another young person said:

Now I am where I am, I can see it… can see a massive difference. I had lots of problems and trauma. I’ve built up a lot of trust. Can talk about it now… I’ve not recovered, but I’m listened to and supported.

This fantastic rating and feedback is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in our Scotland team.

Well done and thank you for all your amazing work!
