East Midlands Team

Ramona
Area Manager for East Midlands
I joined TACT in 2014, having previously worked within my Local Authority. TACT’s values and vision to improve the lives of children and young people were very much in line with my own values – and I knew that with TACT being a charity, any surplus made would be invested back into the services offered to the children and their foster families. I manage a wonderful team where everyone is committed to ensuring that our young people and foster families are fully supported. I love catching up with our foster families at our carer wellbeing and social events, and also with the young people at our fun and engaging activities. I look forward to meeting you if you are thinking of joining our amazing foster care community!

Natalie
Deputy Area Manager
I joined TACT in 2023 and moved into the Deputy Area Manager role in 2024. I have worked within fostering for 10 years and I love having the opportunity to work with fantastic children and young people and their amazing foster carers. Prior to this I worked as a social worker in duty and child protection, as a resettlement worker within a refugee project and in various childcare positions. In my spare time I love to travel and there are some many places in the world I still wish to see. I also enjoy having fun family days out and generally spending time with my two children, my family and friends.

Hazel
Deputy Area Manager
I Joined TACT in September 2010. I was the duty social placement officer/duty social worker until 2017. I loved matching children with families – a very rewarding and busy part of the frontline role. I then became a senior supervising social worker in 2017. Since 2019, I am one of the Deputy Area Managers for the East Midlands area and currently still support some foster carers on my caseload. I love that I work for a charity organisation that aspires to help all children and young people to reach their milestones. I enjoy being part of our foster carer’s lives and supporting the hard work they do to help make a difference.

Peter
Fostering Recruitment Manager
I joined TACT in November 2024 as the Fostering Recruitment Manager for East and West Midlands. I came to TACT very intentionally, because I passionately believe that fostering should be for children not profit.
My wife and I started fostering in 2013, and accidentally found ourselves specialising in long term fostering. Currently we have one 18 year old under ‘Shared Lives’, who has lived with us since the age of 7, and another 18 year is now moving to independence from ‘Staying Put’, having lived with us since age 10. We have two birth children aged 12 and 14. We also have a 7 year old who we adopted on an open basis, having fostered her from the age of 6 months.

Karen
Admin Manager
I have worked for TACT since 2006. Together with two Senior Admin Officers we support the East Midlands team. I have the prime responsibility for the administrative functions of the Administration department which includes management of admin staff, supporting the Area Manager and team, panel administrator, statutory paperwork and foster carer training. The Admin Manager also undertakes the role of Health and Safety officer for the area in conjunction with the Area Manager.

Anna
Supervising Social Worker
I have recently joined TACT as a Supervising Social Worker for the East Midlands, specifically covering Nottingham/Derby. I have been a qualified social worker since 2020. Prior to this role I had worked within an independent fostering agency and been a children’s social worker in child protection. Alongside this, for nearly 10 years I have been a personal assistant for individuals with additional needs. The biggest lesson I have learnt since being a social worker is that supportive relationships are essential; in turn, I am looking forward to building new relationships with the TACT team, foster families, children, and local authorities.

Mark
Supervising Social Worker
Hi – I’m Mark, Supervising Social Worker and have been with TACT since 2nd June 2003.

Annette
Family Finding Worker
I have worked for TACT East Midlands for 13 years. It is my role to receive and read through referrals for children and young people and match them with foster families. I love the process of finding the best match for everyone and placing children with fantastic carers. The best part of my job is children and young people settling in with families and feeling safe and happy.

Irene
Family Finding Worker
I have been working with TACT since 2021. My background is in Social Work, with experience in child protection and voluntary work supporting refugees and unaccompanied minors across various European countries. I enjoy my role as a Family Finder, where I focus on creating the right matches that support and benefit both foster carers and children, helping them to thrive together.

Michael
Engagement and Activity Practitioner
I have been in this role with TACT since 2017. My passion is creating exciting events and activities for our young people and families to enjoy throughout the year. I always aim to go bigger and better each year to achieve the best events possible based on our young people’s wishes and recommendations. My personal favourites are the residential trips, where I get to witness our young people first-hand grow in confidence through new experiences and adventures – and developing their peer relationships.

Lisa
Fostering Family Support and Engagement Worker
My role involves the recruiting of new Foster Carers by answering telephone enquiries, planning and attending local community events and handing out Information leaflets regarding the amazing, unique services that TACT provide as a non–profit organisation. My journey within fostering began in 2022 when my husband and I became approved Foster Carers. We welcomed our first foster child in October 2022, later adopting him.

Lesley
Senior Admin Officer
I have been with TACT for 6 years as part of the East Midlands Admin team. My main role involves organising training for the foster carers. Before working for TACT, I had spent many years working for Northamptonshire Visual Impairment Team, supporting children and young people who were blind or visually impaired within schools and college. When I left, I wanted to do something different, I applied for a temporary post with TACT and six years later, I am still here!

Viv
Senior Admin Officer
I joined TACT in August 2004 and have been working for TACT for over 20 years now! The main aspect of my role currently is updating carers’ medicals and DBS checks when due for renewal or when new/update DBS checks are required for household members or members of the carers’ support network, as it is important for all regulatory requirements to be in place. I am also involved with the administration for carer reviews. It is nice to read on the review reports the amazing work the foster carers are doing and how well the young people are getting on in placement.
