Priscilla
Area Manager for London, Essex and Hertfordshire
Hello, I am Priscilla Makambe, the Area Manager for TACT’s London, Essex and Hertfordshire Team. I joined TACT in April 2019 in a merger from another Independent Fostering Agency (SFS). I joined as a Senior Supervising Social Worker and then was successfully appointed as a Deputy Area Manager for the London and South East Team in July 2019. Previously, I have worked in Local Authority Child Protection and Children with Disabilities Teams before moving into Fostering more than 15 years ago.
Tia
Deputy Area Manager
I’m Tia – I grew up in a fostering household, as my family has fostered for over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Psychology, I worked in education for 5 years in pastoral roles focussed on the social and emotional aspects of learning. I have also worked in residential children’s homes. I qualified as a social worker in 2012 and became a practice educator in 2017. I joined TACT in 2019, initially as a senior supervising social worker in the London and South East team before progressing to my current role as deputy area manager.
Beverley
Family Finding Worker
I joined TACT in 2014 after leaving the Fashion Industry. Two industries worlds apart from each other. Applying for a job was something I hadn’t done since I was 16. The post was for 2 days a week on a 3-month contract in the admin team. This soon increased and within 2 years I applied for the position of Family Finding Worker, which is the post I hold today.
