TACT CEO laments the CVAA’s push on adoption

The Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies (CVAA)  has published a report that explores the value created by adoption to those who are adopted, their families and the wider society.  It appears to be claiming that adoption will save money and more children should therefore be pushed through for adoption in order to achieve these savings. In his thought-provoking opinion piece in Children and Young People Now, TACT CEO Andy Elvin, calls for a more realistic view on adoption and argues that supporting vulnerable families better, including financially, would be in the best interest of children and young people.
