East Midlands Foster Carer Wellbeing Walk

Our East Midlands team took several of our Northamptonshire-based foster carers on a wellbeing walk!

Everyone had a great time enjoying the beautiful scenery and the cooler weather. The walk was followed by a well-deserved lunch which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

The team and foster carers had a lovely time meeting up as always, and the talk was very much about how amazing the children and young people were and how well they were doing!

Ramona, TACT East Midlands Area Manager, referred to the Northamptonshire carers as “absolute champions” of their wellbeing walks, which are also run in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire and Cambridgeshire/Norfolk areas. Despite the rain, the team completed a near 5K circuit!

Foster carer wellbeing days not only provide our teams of carers with opportunities to meet up and re-establish connections, they are also an important part of our wellbeing programme – an initiative aimed to encourage positive mental health for everyone at TACT: our young people, foster carers and staff.
