Foster Care Fortnight 2019

It is Foster Care Fortnight so lets celebrate foster carers and the important work they do in improving the life chances of children and young people in care.

Our foster carers come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ethnic groups, but what they all have in common is that they have compassion, resilience, patience, commitment and passionately believe that all children deserve to live in loving, safe and stable homes.

There are different types of fostering ranging from caring for sibling groups to supporting mother and baby.

Val is a great example of the hundreds of foster carers across the UK that are caring for asylum seeking young people.  Here is her story.
