TACT CEO discusses child refugees on BBC Radio Kent

TACT CEO, Andy Elvin, has appeared on BBC Radio Kent to discuss the dispute between Kent County Council and the Home Office over unaccompanied children seeking asylum.

Kent County Council have refused to take in more child refugees, citing that their services are being overwhelmed, and urge more local authorities to take in these children through the voluntary National Transfer Scheme.

Andy argued that more local authorities would voluntarily take in children seeking asylum if the Home Office paid local authorities the full cost of caring for them.
