Foster Carers Go Potty For Pottery!
Here at TACT, we’re always looking for new and interesting activities for our Carer Wellbeing Days. Our North West team treated ten our foster carers to a day of pottery at Jenny Wren’s in Warrington.
The afternoon was spent painting pottery and enjoying lots of delicious tea and cake!
One of our carers said, “It was so lovely to do something just for me today.” Another said, “Thank you, I enjoyed that so much. Usually, we don’t get time for ourselves, so it was really nice.”
The point of these activities is to give our wonderful team of foster carers some time for themselves, where they can build and strengthen relationships with other local carers, and share thoughts and experiences.
The main focus, however, is relaxation. Wellbeing is at the core of TACT, and is instilled agency wide. Foster carers, young people and staff all benefit from allocated wellbeing activities and resources.
A big thank you to our North West Deputy Area Manager, Vicky, and her team for organising this lovely event!
