Home Office unlawfully placed unaccompanied children in hotels

TACT welcomes the High Court ruling that the Home Office housing of unaccompanied child asylum seekers in hotels was unlawful.  TACT has long spoken out on this matter and was among a number of organisations to sign an open letter to the Home Office, urging them to meet their legal obligations towards vulnerable unaccompanied children seeking asylum, and to stop the unacceptable practice of placing them in hotels.

Andy Elvin – TACT CEO has written a blog to express TACT’s reaction to the High Court ruling.  You can read it here
