TACT has been crowned the fifth best charity to work for in the prestigious Best Companies 2024 Accreditation. 

The national fostering charity has risen 11 places from 16^th last year, and was also ranked the 17^th best medium-sized organisation to work for.  

TACT also achieved its first three-star accreditation this year, representing world class levels of employee engagement, thanks to improvements in seven out of the eight core areas measured entirely by colleague feedback. TACT employs almost 200 colleagues, and the survey was completed by 61% of their workforce.

TACT places great importance on the wellbeing of colleagues, with recent initiatives including becoming founding members of Wellbeing of Women, work on neurodiversity initiatives and toolkits and ongoing work to improve mental health.

Virtual wellbeing drop-in sessions are provided for all staff, covering a range of subjects such as financial wellbeing, healthy eating, mindfulness and menopause support.

TACT’s Pass The Praise initiative was set up to enable staff to nominate colleagues who have embodied or demonstrated the organisation’s shared values.

The charity is also on a journey to become more trauma informed, which means empowering people, providing safety and trust and creating an environment which enables collaboration and choice.
