Foster Carer Satisfaction: North West

Every year, TACT run a foster carer satisfaction survey in each region, to gain insight into possible areas for improvement, both in the practical day-to-day support service we provide, and in terms of how we communicate with our teams of foster carers.

We had a fantastic response from our North West region, with 100% saying that they were generally satisfied with being TACT foster carers.

But the high ratings didn’t stop there. TACT North West went on to score 100% in the following areas:

  • Satisfaction with the support provided by TACT
  • Satisfaction with the amount of content and training offered by TACT
  • Likely to recommend TACT to a friend or colleague who was thinking of fostering
  • Felt able to share views and feedback with TACT

“We get so much support, and our Supervising Social Worker always goes above and beyond for us and the kids. We feel like we are part of a bigger family, and we feel fully supported to give our foster kids the best life.”

90% said that they were satisfied with how they were approached when being considered as a fostering household for a young person, while 90% of our carers also said that they were satisfied with how TACT communicates news, updates, and information.

Our foster carers were kind enough to also leave us some feedback:

“We get so much support, and our Supervising Social Worker always goes above and beyond for us and the kids. We feel like we are part of a bigger family, and we feel fully supported to give our foster kids the best life.”

“The level of support and guidance is nothing less than outstanding. The training we receive is above and beyond.”

“Everyone works hard to make sure all placements are suited and are there day and night to support the children and foster carers.”

“The overriding ethos of an Independent Fostering Agency that is a charity, means they do not make a profit to give to shareholders, but plough back any surplus into the children and the carers.”

A big thank you to our North West team of foster carers for sharing their honest feedback, which will be used to help improve our service in the region.
