Foster Carer Satisfaction: East Midlands

Every year, TACT run a foster carer satisfaction survey in each region, to gain insight into possible areas for improvement, both in the practical day-to-day support service we provide, and in terms of how we communicate with our teams of foster carers.

We had a fantastic response from our East Midlands region, with 91% of our carers being satisfied with the support they receive from us.

Elsewhere, 90% said that they were satisfied with how TACT communicates news, updates, and general information, whilst 95% said that they were satisfied with how they were approached when being considered as a fostering household for a young person.

“I’ve always felt supported from my supervising social worker. You’re able to continue with your personal development:  accessing courses to help you support the children in your care”

Our foster carers were kind enough to also leave us some feedback:

“TACT areas know their carers well, support them and they do their very best for the carers and young people.”

“I always feel supported and listened to and enjoy all the activities on offer for the young people.”

“I’ve always felt supported from my supervising social worker. You’re able to continue with your personal development:  accessing courses to help you support the children in your care.”

“I think the organisation is thorough for carers and has the best outcome for both young people and carers at heart.”

A big thank you to our East Midlands team of foster carers for sharing their honest feedback, which will be used to help improve our service in the region.
