Following an inspection in December, our London and the South team have been awarded an overall outstanding rating by Ofsted!

The inspectors praised how well children and young people are being helped and protected, and the effectiveness of leaders and managers in the area. It was noted that our foster carers provide stability for those in their care and treat them as part of their family, meaning that our young people feel a strong sense of belonging.

Writing to our young people in the area, Inspector Colin Bent said: “After my visit I felt that TACT London and South is an ‘outstanding’ fostering agency. I really liked hearing that you get to do fun things with your foster carers and that you feel safe with them.

“I was really impressed by your foster carers and how they talked positively about your progress. Foster carers and staff are proud of your achievements, no matter what they are, as they really care about you.”

The inspectors were also pleased to see some of the specialist services we offer, like the services provided by our dedicated Education team and our thriving Connect community. These services provide vital support to young people, particularly as they transition into adulthood, and we were praised for ‘offering lifelong support when and if needed’.
