TACT Cymru Sponsors Broadlands AFC Under 8s

We’re excited to sponsor Broadlands AFC Under 8s, a local football team based in Bridgend!

At TACT, we believe that every child deserves opportunities to grow, build friendships, and feel part of their community. Sponsoring a grassroots team aligns with our mission to help children and young people thrive in nurturing, supportive environments – whilst promoting health and fitness.

Just like being part of a foster family, being part of a team gives children the chance to develop confidence, build lasting connections, and learn important life skills. These are all elements that will stay with them far beyond their time on the pitch.

The club have also teamed up with the neurodivergent community to develop a programme called Nothing About Us Without Us. With a focus on how the sensory environment impacts on neurodivergent children, and what can we do about it, the programme aims to make football more inclusive for young people.

From their website: “Without a good understanding of professional competence in neurodiversity, sensory profiles and subsequent adaptations to the environment and people in that environment, society is frequently acting unlawfully and letting the neurodivergent football community down – sometimes to devastating effect.”

We’re proud to support the team’s ethos and journey – and look forward to seeing them flourish both on and off the pitch.
